ANIMAL TAMINGAssociated Professional Title: Ranger Main Statistic Used: Strength Supplemental Statistic Used: Intelligence Skill Use: Direct (through skill list) Trained By: Animal Trainer, Fur Trader, Ranger Description: Using animal taming will allow you to train an animal and some monsters to be your pet. When you use this skill from your skills menu, you will be given a targeting cursor. Use this cursor to target the creature you wish to tame. Some creatures are much harder to tame than others, and some are not tamable at all. You must start small, and build your skills over time. After you successfully tame a creature, it will be your pet. You can rename your new pet by double clicking on it's status bar, and typing the new name. You can command it with the same commands you would use for any pet, and can name it, stable it, and care for it the same as well. Please see Hirelings/Pets for more information on caring for your pet. Common Complementary Skills: Animal lore - Select the skill, and target the animal. Veterinary - Use bandage on the animal to heal wounds. |
