Regardless of whether you chose a template to define your starting stats or not, the next step is to finalize your starting skills.
The skill to which you allocate the most points determines your occupation as shown in your Character Window (this occupation may change if your most developed skill changes through experience). Your other skills should complement your occupation enough to make you fairly self sufficient.
Once you are satisfied with your skill choices, click next to move on to your character's appearance.
